Rent out your Brooklyn property

For owners of 2–4 family houses, condos, co-ops and small buildings: pricing the rent, marketing, showings and tenant screening, done within New York's fair housing and tenant laws.

What we handle

  • Rent pricing based on comparable apartments currently listed and recently rented nearby.
  • Marketing: photos, listing on major rental sites and our renter network.
  • Showings and applications, with consistent screening criteria applied to every applicant.
  • Lease signing and move-in coordination.

Own a building with 12 or more units? We also offer full property management in Brooklyn: leasing, rent collection, repairs, renewals and NYC compliance.

Rules New York City landlords should know

  • Broker fees (FARE Act): in New York City, whoever hires the broker pays the broker. If you hire us to rent your apartment, our fee is paid by you, not by the tenant.
  • Fair housing: it is illegal to refuse or discourage a tenant because of a protected characteristic, including lawful source of income such as housing vouchers. See the Fair Housing Notice.
  • Fair Chance Housing: New York City limits when and how criminal history can be considered for most rentals.
  • Application fees and deposits: New York State caps background or credit check fees at $20 (or the actual cost, whichever is less) and security deposits at one month's rent.
  • Rent-stabilized units follow separate rules on rent and renewals. Tell us if your building has stabilized apartments.
